I personally prefer the hz, the passive version of the h4, but I'm definately gonna give these a try!
really funny my last post didnt make it, as said, how may of you are playing both sides of the competition, i am, I also will be purchasing one of these, to do a more fair comparison, i play EMG 707 and basslines, but did not believe the 81 was a fair compairison to a blackout, i will be comparing this model to either blackouts bridge or blackoutsMetal,
The X stands for 'experimental'. Believe it or not these have been in the works long before the BO's .. and there's another bounus feature yet to be announced about them ;)
7 string and more models will follow soon.
Where the 7 string version? :)
people please ignore the suckmore dunwacker crapouts fan they will be 10 fold better than the sd's! o b the way suckmore copied the emgs! :)
i like sound emg.....
Actually... Alexi is now back with EMG an no longer uses the Blackouts.
Check the artist rosters & EMGTV on the new website.
since when has EMG killed anything, besides tone......this isnt even an original idea, EMG hasnt ever even used balanced input, OOO real good at not canceling hum.. just wonderful, ill buy one of these just to prove its a rip off of a SDBO, they even ripped off the 'organic tone' idea... thats just soo weak, there's not even 2 outputs... ill buy one to compare it to my blackouts, if EMG's arent good enough or Alexi or Mick Thompson then.....
but im not here to troll, i use EMG's, i just dont think this is original, im not a fanboy of either, i just use both and have an honest opinion, i like the 707 and the bass pickups though,
according to the website, the 81-x has enhanced high end response without getting muddy with the lows, making solos sound crisper, and supposedly giving more headroom, meaning you can play clean easier without having to worry about it becoming muddy or too distorted.
