So this was the face that beheld a Midsummer's Nightmare... what a nightmare it must have been.

Oliver,<br /><br />That "Platoon" was such a big deal might have surprised you, but it did not surprise me one little bit. I'm now almost 34 and was about 12 when it came out.<br /><br />It's always been obvious to me-even as notably younger child than your own daughter-that Vietnam was a big dark cloud over EVERYTHING in American society.
